All forums usually come with a ‘Mark forums read’ button to clear any notifications or icons signifying there are posts you haven’t read. Is this something that you tend to use or do you prefer to check out each individual post to clear up the notification?

I would say I use a bit of both, depending on how long I’ve not logged in for and how many posts have been made in the time I’ve been away. To me it’s also a bit like having unread notifications on your phone, they bother me so I need to get rid.

I actually found out that if I stay logged out for too long in some forums, all my notifications gets cleared on its own. I'm not sure why that happens but the observation that I have made so far. As for using the Mark read, I use it whenever I'm no longer interested in checking all the notifications one by one.
