Live support of hosting providers

Recently we had some downtime. Sorry I am getting ahead of myself. My website is hosted with GoDaddy and recently there was an issue and I couldn't access the website for close to 4 hours or so.

I was getting 522 error and I couldn't even log into my hosting account as well. So, I tried calling the 24/7 support number and it didn't work! There is no email support now and I tried messaging their WhatsApp account as well. After a few hours I received a reply.

To be honest, I was furious. Do you think such stuff is alright? I am seriously thinking of moving my website to another hosting now.

I am using namecheap. Recently, I encountered a problem on my website, I sent message via Live Chap. The guy on support appeared in less than 1 mintes. He took just 2 minutes to figure and solve my problem. If I had encountered a problem like yours, I would have changed the host immediately.
 
Like Mika mentioned, NameCheap has some great support especially considering that they are a large company so they do have a huge number of clients to respond to as well. GoDaddy is not great. I used them a long time ago for a WordPress project and I was not happy with the service that I received.

Did you try their live chat support though? They seem to have one available for UK customers, not sure if it's the same for other countries.
 
I started using namecheap in 2015 andsinves then I have been using only namecheap. Even when helping clients to set up their first website I use namecheap. Namecheap live support is great. They never let you down.
 
For a website to really interest me it has to have this live chat support feature and because of this I do not patronize any website hosting service that do not offer this live chat support service feature on their service.

I guess these kind of situations are a common place in other hosting companies too. They too experience their own downtimes sometimes. But the length of time may vary from company to company
 
Live support is good but I do not like using live support through the social apps like messenger or whatsapp. I like to use live support tool like zendesk.
