The ISP I worked for is testing gigabit over coax right now, and it seems like there might even be symmetrical gigabit download and upload in the future!

Another ISP in Canada (eastern side) has had gigabit over coax using DOCSIS 3.1 for a year now?

I cant say whether or not they're actually providing gigabit as per the "up to" mentality of many ISPs, but given what DOCSIS 3.1 can do I dont think its impossible.

I had a buddy with Google Fiber, jesus christ... He had 900 Download and 200 upload, and that was on a bad day, Google needs to implement it to the rest of the world.

I can't wait till G Fiber comes to my town. 1000/1000 is going to change the world.

We have a company called Century Link that states they will have 1g coming in January.

I did a speed test and here is the result. Only costs $7 per month and it works perfectly fine for my needs.
