Landing Pages for PPC

They are of utmost importance most people would probably say, but, nonetheless, average might good enough.

Anyhow, what is your landing page experience? Where do you get your pages? What are you looking for?

I generally tend to have multiple landing pages per campaign, going as far as having one per ad group. However, you will have to evaluate by yourself if making a dedicated landing page for each ad group is cost-effective resource wise

What do you feel are some characteristics of a good landing page?

• Speed
• Readability
• A layout that guides the visitor towards the action you want them to take.
• Relevance ie giving the searcher what they were looking for.
• eye-catching

list can go on, right?

I have never been a fan of landing page, therefore, for my PPC campaigns, I have never used a landing page, instead of landing page, my ads directly take to the main content, the content that I am promoting with ads. For example, if I am promoting an ebook, my ad will take the user directly to the product page where they can buy it. These days people have less attention span and they might just leave your landing page and never go to your main content
