Personally I have never tried using a free domain when it comes to creating your own website however if you are new to creating websites it might not be a bad idea. The reason that I'm saying this is that having a free domain gives you the chance to try and explore new things with your website and understand what it takes to manage the website in the first place before becoming more invested in it. It will give you more of a holistic view as to the time and effort that is required into managing websites and if you don't feel like you can do so, you can then pay for a more well-known and popular domain which will enhance your website

If you are serious about your website don't use free domains. You won't be able to promote your website using those domains or achieve any meaningful goals.

A former colleague in the office tried a free domain from the UK, sorry, I forgot the name of the website. My colleague is a film director who wanted to have a website for his workshops. The free domain comes with free hosting so he was able to start the design of his web pages at once. But the issue is the very slow access of the main website and there were also lots of ads including the annoying pop-ups. I think he left it after using it for a month although he admitted that it was good for a trial.

of course it is worth it, by trying the free trial that the company is giving you on their service, you get an idea about the quality of the services they are offering and know if you should go for it or not

It is worth it if what is at stake with the website is next to nothing or your are just horning your skills. But for something serious requiring a strong security guarantee then free hosting for domains is a no-no. I believe the purpose of this free hosting should just be for testing your website out. If after test running and you are satisfied with the result, then it's better you move it to a more secured domain.

When trying a free domain name and hosting, you should have it in mind that it is only for training sake.
It is not good for a real website that is meant to earn money. Free webhost always have many disadvantages. The experience is not good enough. I have tried many free hosting and it is troublesome using free hosting.

As a newbie in the blogosphere. I won't advice anybody to use a free hosting plan even though a free domain is still good because if your hosting is free you won't have unlimited access to your website and your website can be brought down at any time without you having to complain to any body

When it comes to websites design, there are some free domain sites that look real but the main problem on the platform is that they are always working as a blog in place of websites. The domain name will always be hosted and housed by the host web platform.

I won't lie to you. It doesn't worth using free domain name. Many free domain name does not come with SSL certificate. I have had bad experience with them before. I have tried to summit the name in some ad networks ,but they rejected the domain. It is better you buy a yours at godaddy for $1

Some online platforms offer such free services and it works when used to create a blog. In the case of any giant website that involves financial transactions, I think it's not advisable to use a free hosting service because of the security reasons. A free service cannot be as secure as a paid one and such a website needs a very high security protocol to avoid attack.

I didn't think it's a bad idea if a person tries free domain. I have done that severally on wordpress and blogger dot com just that the adverts being pasted on my free website by word press was too much that I had to quit. but as for blogger which offers free domain, it's not a bad idea.

The word free means that you have almost nothing to lose. So trying is not a bad thing because if it goes wrong you can stop. Instead of paying as a starter and then doing a test run I advice you try free.

it is worth it to try free domains and hosting offer by some platform because you can get connected from from what you are doing. As long as it is what gives you joy .

The fact that it is free as a domain means that the site must find additional ways in which to generate an income and this is why there are so many adverts that are displayed on the blogs and the writings. It is so that they are able to sustain the services that they provide to their users and so that there is a good chance that they will be able to continue this into the future as well.

Yes it will be very worth it especially if you are a new startup. You get to know how to find and work your around these platforms to familiarize yourself with them before going paid. Never use a free platform for your intended business please.

on free domains you can't do anything serious because if you want to transfer your domain somewhere or sell it later, you don't have this possibility :) I don't recommend a free domain. better take out $ 2 and get a .com for a year.

The fundamental contrast between a paid and free domain name is that the domain is in complete control of the purchaser - for this situation paid domain would be in complete control of Domain name.

Be that as it may, in the event that he chose to get a free domain name, he will at that point need to consent to strategies with which one can utilize the free space name - which means he isn't in finished control of the domain name, and he should control the contents of his site as per the approaches. The most important is getting the correct domain name that will hold well for SEO - both the free way or the paid domains can work.

If you have never owned a website or ever registered a domain, there is no harm in trying free domain and free hosting. If you want to experiment, you may also use free domain and free host. I might also use.

Free domain and hosting is good when you are new and have no knowledge as you don't have anything to lose but if your project is bigger than I don't advice to have it as free things have some stings attached.
