Usually the old business owner has a protege among his children like what I see in the Chinese business owners here. They are the richest people in our country. The richest had bequeathed his bank and mall chain to his eldest daughter who is still managing now.

I have seen cases like before on various situations. There was one some years back. The man had a business and those working under him, after some health issues he died. His assistant was the one who took over the business running it until the late owners son came back to run the business
