Need to consult with you, guys. The thing is that I have some blogs that don't receive any traffic at all.
One of my friends recommended me to do blog commenting as it will help to get some traffic. Is it true?
What are your views on paidforumposting.com? Pricing? Any other places to get blog commenting service?

Blog commenting is helpful for SEO but you need to have your content and links on quality blogs. It helps you increase rankings

well yeah your friend wasn't wrong, commenting helps you to get some traffic, you need to put your keywords on comments first, but you need to post the comments on quality blogs and websites with high page rank and high number of traffic

Blog commenting can have some SEO benefits, its primary value lies in networking, building relationships, and generating targeted traffic. The emphasis should be on providing value and engaging in meaningful discussions rather than solely pursuing SEO gains.

Blog is the core imprint of organic traffic. This is something that's very important to anyone who owns a blog because it's one of ways that their blog build authority and even do well in helping them make money from Adsense.

If I was replying to this topic a couple of years ago, I would have answered positively. However, my current answer is NO. Blog commenting is not helpful for SEO. The primary idea behind blog commenting is to share your links in the comment. These days a lot of webmasters delete comment that contain any links.

This is something that I've become challenging for a lot of people who are running blogs because it seems like they are not getting the support that they need from their fellow webmasters whom can actually allow them to share their links on their own platform to help with their SEO but they just don't.

Engaging in blog commenting can potentially help drive traffic to your own blog. When allowed, you can include a link to your blog within the comment. However, it's important to follow blog owners' guidelines and avoid excessive self-promotion. Ensure that your link adds value and relevance to the conversation rather than coming across as purely promotional.

Over the years, blog commenting really did seem to be helpful when it came to SEO but nowadays, a lot of blog owners tend to get a little too much and tend to not want links on their blog comments and often, if you comment with a link attached it will be deleted.

Some blogs do still allow it without issue but finding them is not as easy as it used to be.

This is one of the reason why those who are running a forum make provision for having a blog session on their platform because they know it is very beneficial when it comes to helping them to generate organic traffic to their platform without even doing much in terms of constant posting that they do on forums.

These days I feel like blog commenting isn't as useful as it used to be. I see this topic is quite old and a lot has changed in the last 8-10 years. I know that you can still comments on some blogs and get a link to your site in there, but most of the time these sites will use services like disqus for example, which usually requires you to sign into an account. Some will let you just comment with a name/email/site, but it seems like I see less and less of those types of blogs.

It is helpful not only to get traffic but to get quality backlinks too

Yeah, that's very correct. Good traffic is very important for anyone who is running a log because it is what is going to help you to blow and get the popularity you want which will in turn help to make your platform to rank high on Google. It helps with your being able to make money from your blog.

Recently, I found an article about a study Neil Patel conducted on whether blog commenting is helpful for SEO. This is more about the site that is receiving the comments, not the people giving them, though.

Mary Fernandez said:
Next, he checked Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools to see whether the blog comments were resulting in more search engine rankings. He found that approx. 26.7% of the keywords that were ranking in Google were from the comments section.

Mary Fernandez said:
Overall, he found that the comments section brought in 16% of all search traffic.

This isn't huge, but 16% more is 16% more.

I think the primary idea behind blog commenting is to allow users to provide feedback on your blog posts, provide more information about what you're studying, and foster a sense of community. However, autodeleting linked comments pushes away valuable information that could be useful to you as the poster and to your readers. It also turns away valuable fellow bloggers who you may be able to guest post with later.

I was trying to refer to blog commenting as a way to build links. A lot of website owners use blog commenting for building backlinks. Website owners just delete the links on the comment section and will retain links only when they are shared to the link box while submitting comments.
The results you have shared are really interesting

Actually, the reason why a lot of blog owners tend to be against not wanting links on their blog is because a lot of people have turned their blogs into link farming blogs. This is something that is not good for the website's SEO. Nobody likes to have their own projects messed up by what other people are doing for their own interest.

If someone wants to leave a link on the blog comment, he can do so by providing a link while leaving a comment (through the comment form). However, if someone wants to post multiple links he has to post within the body, and when the links are within the body, blog owners do not like it. Commenting as a SEO strategy will work only when blog comment is useful and adds value to the blog post.

Yeah, that's very correct. When those links are left all over and within the body of the content, it's an ugly sight. It's part of the reason why most blog owners frown at it. They are not helpful for the blogs SEO needs and then certainly don't make the blog look good.
