In Regards to Backlinks - Quality Not Quantity

The reality is that the huge number of links isn't important, but rather what links they are. Nonetheless, I still think more quality links never coming from the same site would be an advantage. I don't think this article is saying otherwise.

Back in the day, numbers matter. These days, you want to have only quality links as having too many out there can actually hurt your site. I have learned that over the last few years. Some people still think quantity matters more though. They are using outdated methods and practices when it comes to backlinking.

Backlinks will work only if your backlinks are dofollow and come from the sites that are ranked higher than yours and are on the same niche. If you have a cooking blog and if you build backlinks on a gaming site, your blacklink is not considered a quality backlinks.
