Ignore Feature

I have not had to make use of the ignore feature too much on forums but knowing that the option is there does give me peace of mind for if I ever do have issues with people on the forum.

I always advise my members if they are having issues with another member to use the ignore feature so that they do not have to see their posts and they will not see there posts.

As an administrator on mine, I will never do that, haha. But on other forums I don't do that (english one). Unless a person is toxic and provokes and moderation does nothing about it. Then yes.

I have not enabled this feature on my forum. I have seen this feature on many forums where I am a user but I have never used it. In fact, I don't even use a follow feature even when I like the member. I like doing most of the communication on main forum through posts.

I don't think I've ever had to use it on any board I was a part of, even when some people did annoy me. It's a decent way to get away from someone who is always bothering you somehow, but I would probably see no use in it unless that person kept sending you constant PMs and wouldn't stop. What's posted publicly, even by those of annoyance, I can generally tolerate.

Do you make use of the Ignore Feature on forums? Do you advise members to use it if they are struggling with another member? Does this help with any conflict that may have been occurring on your forum?
I've never used the Ignore Feature on forums I've used for years. I was nearly forced to using it on Forum Promotion last few weeks but I didn't have to anymore because the admin member I had targeted to use it on her account withdrew from poking me.
