When we learned English at school, we didn't learn how to pronounce it fluently like native speakers, and that's why when I started talking to foreigners in real life, it was strange because sometimes they couldn't understand my words. And now I spend most of my time studying the British accent in order to speak like them and not have an accent specific to my regions

No, when I study English, on the contrary, I try to communicate and speak with an accent. Since British English is considered an original and classic spoken language, I listen to it and try to conduct dialogue with an accent.

I learned English in school and college but we were never taught with an accent, out teachers were locals and they were good with English but they did not have accent. Therefore, I speak without accent.
