Backlinks are very good for websites. It helps with getting the website to rank higher on Google. But it's very important to note that it's not quantity backlinks that matters but quality backlinks. It's better to have 10 quality backlinks than having 10, 000 low quality backlinks.

As a forum owner, how do you spot and delete the low quality backlinks that adds no value to your site?

You could use something like a SEO audit tool. I hear SEMrush is a good option, but I don't know how well it works for backlinks. If there are sites you're trying to get to take backlinks off, you can reachout to the site owner and ask them to remove it.

As a forum owner, it is important for me to evaluate the authority and credibility of the websites linking to my forum. I check metrics such as Domain Authority (DA) and Page Authority (PA) to gauge the quality of these links. I make sure to avoid links from sites with low authority, excessive outbound links, or a history of spam. By doing so, I can ensure that the backlinks pointing to my forum are of high quality and contribute positively to its reputation and search engine rankings.

You have a very good point about mentioning trying to avoid links from site with low DA authority because they are never going to offer anything good in terms of high-quality backlinks and is even why I believe it is the right thing to do not to pay or buy backlinks from website that doesn't offer high quality backlinks.
