There are a lot of domain names out there that one can easily register if they want to, but there is also a need to be able to identify which of them have the higher quality.
From your own experience so far, what domain metrics do you make use of to determine its quality before purchasing to develop your website?

The quality of a domain depends on keyword usage, domain length, and commercial value. When the domain begins to age, the quality also depends on the backlinks and domain age. Shorter the domain more valuable it is.

You can check the domain quality by calculating the Domain Rating (DR) score. Figure out how many unique domains link to the target website and their authority.

You can check your site's domain authority using Moz link explorer. Content quality, social signals, and backlinks play a vital role in domain rating.

Well, what I checked for in domain are: keyword, the past history of the domain, and the number of people that are likely to purchase the domain if the are aware that it's possible. To be good in picking domain, you must be know the good and currently popular keyword.
