How many sites is too many?

Wow, so you seriously work on about twenty sites online? That's just incredible. I am handling just three to four sites and it's like the limit I can take, you must really have a lot of spare time
At the first time, you may be happy by managing a dozen of sites but after 1 month exactly you will feel extremely tired and need a moderation team to continue work because it is tiring to handle them and you may sell some of them and keep finally as you say 2 or 3 websites.

Ok my friend I can share with you some very good legit sites but many of them need a lot of patience so you can withdraw after long time but they pay from long time .
I am also looking forward to this legit sites you made mention of, how long does the sites takes to pay? I believe as long as it's not my only source of income, I would be willing to wait.

It will depend on the time you have every day, if you are a worker most especially if you are working offline it will even be the best for you to concentrate in one that you will be able to manage, concentrating in so many will make you lose concentration that should be needed.

I can't even divide my time to manage more than one sites because I might not get a fast and more productive result if I dedicate my whole time to one site, so I can't even imagine how managing multiple sites will look like.

If you want to get paid fast from this site so you should invest some money , what is sure that's all those sites are legit so you will get your money back sooner than later .

To website and domain name for someone who is just starting out to run different website. As for me, I can still manage 5 website very well but anything beyond that is too much for me to manage and run effectively.

Okay so what are the sites, and most importantly what are the tasks needed to be done on the site and their method of payments

To me there is no tomany it depends on one management ability and capacity of understanding the situation and control of resources management

When it comes to running sites, I like to keep it simple. At most, I like to have around 5 sites, but at least 3. I am thinking of cutting back to just 3 sites, as I get stressed having to keep an eye on too many. And I feel this way, I can focus my time on just those 3 and make them even better.

What about you though? Do you feel you have too many sites? Or have just the right amount? Or maybe you want more?
To ensure that you don't become a jack of all trades and give the best quality to your visitors or subscribers, I suggest that 3 sites is enough.
Don't forget that to maximize profits or reach, you'd have to create social media channels with relevant content for these sites too; heck! Imagine you'd have 20 sites to do that for.

If you have 20 sites you simply hire staff and administration team with you it is not something to do alone otherwise you will not have power to do such things.

No number of site is too much for someone to handle. If you are up for it. Personally, I would love to maintain three well paid site when I'm less occupied with academic activities, because for now even commenting on Bizdustry is a lot of hard work.

When you can no longer handle them financially, I'll declare a site has gotten too many. The phrase "profitably" is important here. You may operate as many as you like, as long as they are profitable.

If I get stressed running more than two sites, either I outsource it or I sell or shut them down, but I think the outsourcing options is more viable and also allows me to focus on other important things.

Thanks for all the answers guys, this topic really blew up, awesome! :) I've made a few sites and have been focussing on just those as of late. So far it's been going good. Plus on top of the freelance work I do, I'm making a good living. Thanks to all who responded to and continues to respond to this topic. :)

I am managing two websites at present. I think 10 websites are too much for someone to manage by yourself especially when you are writing the content everyday. You will need your host of writers and editors as well as virtual assistance to manage all the blogs.

I am a writer probably maybe you can hire me to write content for your website at a very cheap price, I don't really know how profitable blogging will be because I could have also like to engage into.

That is very good of you but I write all the content on the two websites at present. I may contact you probably when I establish two more niche website so that you can write for me. I believe you have a good knowledge of how search engine optimisation works.

any number that you aren't able to handle is "many" for sure, it also depends on what kind of websites you are dealing with, if they are bringing no traffic or serving no purpose, then just dump them and focus on the important ones
You are quite right on that aspect , any number you think you can't handle is too much , I was normally working on five different sites back them but its consuming time and everything , so i have to reduce it.

Too many sites are quite overwhelming for me. Like you, three is just fine. Anything more than that would require more from me and I don't have more to give. You can't give what you don't have.
