How lucrative is architectural business?

Opposing popular opinions, I'll say that the architectural profession is still very much profitable as of today. So don't think twice before going for it.

I agree with you just because of the fact that a lot of people who wants to start their building project do not even bother to meet an architect to help them design the building again, they just give all the jobs to a bricklayer

There are lots of builders available now that learnt the normal bricklaying but because of their experience in the job they convince their clients of given them design with specifications especially in rural areas. The professional in this field of sketching house plans are the architectures but to me it seem their proffesion is not longer lucrative. Do you agree with me?

I have an uncle who is an architect, but he isn't doing so well. I consider architecture as a good occupation, I know of some architect who gain hugely at one job. I am thinking my uncle's problem is that he does not have that huge client base and he isn't advertising his skill.

Being an architecture and a good one at that is very rewarding because buildings are being erected on daily basis. No organisation will have an erected building without involving an architect. An architect earns handsomely per service.

I do not fully agree with this, I believe it depends on the scale at which you are into it. Big time farmers who are into various agriculture products, serve as suppliers to markets and other buyers on a regular basis.

Bro, architecture is as lucrative as ever, maybe not in your locality or country but they're still as valued as always.
I was reading a post recently of an awards conducted to honour architects and it was based on the buildings they had designed. I understood then that architecture is more than building plans, aesthetics is also involved.

In our country, building a new house would require a government permit for the construction. The engineering depart of the city or town would require the architectural plan and bill of materials. It means that you need the architect when you are going to construct a structure, be it a house or a building. My cousin has an architectural firm that made him wealthy.

No, I don't agree, this is because as houses are being built every day so also industries, plants, production lines including federal housing projects are being constructed every day. So the issue is not if architecture is still lucrative but rather the quality of job delivered.
