How long did it take to get a solid amount of Members?

No-one was suggesting otherwise. It was a simple observation that it's now very common to gatekeep resources behind logins, not least to prevent search engines and AI bots harvesting them.

Not long. When Revillution started in 2009, it was a completely different site than it is today and the members didn't come as steadily as they have since, however, it didn't take long for us to break thr 300 member mark the first time if I recall. I believe we hd hit that in early 2010 when we had opened mid 2009 originally.

Same here! I’m rebuilding my forum after a few years of being gone and rough patches in my life, so I’m working from a different direction this time. However, I know I’ll get some daily active posters very soon.
