Sometimes administrator bans indiscriminately, sometimes it's the boots fault I can understand that human beings can be difficult but there should be plenty for each offense and not outright ban some people are actually ignorant

Seriously, it is very important that as a moderator in a website or the owner, you should be lenient with people that are active on your website even if they break the rules, you can to let them understand unless the person is not open to understanding his mistakes then you can ban him permanently.

I think staff members on the forum must be lenient. Otherwise members will leave the forum. For example, the admin of Beermoney Forum is just too strict and he bans members without even listening to what the member has to say. This is why many people have stopped posting there.

One of the most common sources of problems, in my opinion, is the refusal to even read the regulations, let alone follow them. Staff members should be lenient enough to issue one or two warnings before imposing a lifetime ban in major cases and possibly suspending accounts for a few days in less serious cases.

Most forum staff members are lenient and this is due to the fact that they have been in the game for long and have learned to tolerate members, especially if that's your first time of defaulting.

If am a website management, I can be very linient to my members if they actually do with my terms and conditions. Otherwise I will suspend then or even replace them with nother member.

People are going to override you when you are too lenient in the workplace. so it is very important to set a boundary as a result. this does not mean that you shouldn't engage in cordial relationship with those who are in the same workplace as you.

If I have a part of the forum where it is okay to post nsfw posts and they post in a regular forum then I am not too mad, but if it's a forum that strictly forbids it , they get a warning. If they are second or third time offenders, ban :D

Well the truth is as much as we want to be strict, disciplined and maintain order, there'll always be the sentiments based on the fact that there are a some people who bring a lot of progress to your forum and even if they err, you'll be lenient in judgement.

The best way to deal with any of the members of a forum who go against the rules and regulations of the site is to be giving a very strong warning at l ast for three times before any strong action would be taking, because no one is perfect and anyone could also make any of the mistakes by going against the rules and regulations of a forum.

Employees who are involved in decision-making feel their contribution is valued, and the process of sharing opinions and discussing work matters itself can foster a sense of teamwork and improve relationships between workers themselves.

As a staff member i think that it is important that you stick to the rules and that you warn the members as they start to go of course or if they are starting to make mistakes because then they can correct it as early as possible.

Not a member of staff in any forum I belong, but I think the staff in s forum should be lenient. I don't support rule breaking and I always try my best to keep any forum rules I belong. But sometimes, mistakes can happen as nobody is above mistake. So staff should be lenient in a forum, especially with first time offender. One of the reasons why bizdustry has many members is because their staff are lenient and friendly.

I think that a lot of time need to be spent teaching people about the rules and regulation but then somebody who is old in the platform and he keeps on breaking the rule is something I will not tolerate.

I have only ever been an admin on my own forums as well as other people's forums.

I did a lot of background work and tend to give people chances to cool off before they get banned. This mostly worked in my favor but there have been times when I should have banned a few bad eggs and didn't, and they later caused hours of issues on the forum.

On our forum (Bizdustry) we give our users lots of chances, even break the rules and learn from their mistakes, but we don't want them to do that and make another mistake in the future. .
We try to be friendly and understanding with all our members.

When it comes to online forum sites, forum staff members are the most difficult members to deal with because they frequently break the rules by posting spam and advertising their products on your sites despite your warnings. The best course of action is to warn them first, and if they don't listen, you can now remove the offending material.

It depend on the offense the users comitted. If it is something as serious as posting illegal contents on the website, i'll give them a temporary ban, but if it's not as serious as that, then i would give them a warning.
