When it comes to any website you have to have a mechanism that people can use in order to remember your website or something that will attract them to your website in the first place, and what I have seen and concluded from the research that I have conducted is that one of the best ways that you can do this is to have a good logo. What sort of impact have you noticed the logo having on your website and its success or growth in the number of users?

Your logo is like having your own trademark. When you have a unique logo, your members and users would easily identify your presence in the various channels. You can have your own fan following on social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and also your own blog or forum website. A good logo shows your commitment to running your website and it attracts new users to your website. This also helps your website to stand out from the competition.

I do agree with you and as humans i think that we tend to remember stuff that are visual a lot more than words and therefore it is a way that you can leave a lasting impression as well.

I do not see a logo making much difference on a website. Unless your website is an online business, there is no need to bother with a logo. OI have been running a lot of websites for a long time and most of these websiets do not make use of logos, yet they draw traffic and generate revenue.
