How do you train for running?

Jogging backwards sounds interesting! I have never done it before though. Do you burn more calories if you jog backwards?
You burn about the same as running forwards but you are training different leg muscles that usually do not get used. You will definitely feel the burn if you have never done it before!

I think you should do both to train your whole leg. However, people mostly jog forwards so if you had to pick one, I would choose jogging regularly.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try to do both and let you know if I find it beneficial.
 
I think running backwards could use muscles that you do not usually use, but you will burn less calories and there is a chance you may fall over. I tend to fall over sometimes when going backwards. :)
