How do you recover from a common cold?

At the moment, I have a common cold that has been going around throughout the month and I am trying to recover from it.
How do you recover from a common cold?

When I have common cold chicken soup is my ultimate remedy, I add a lot of ginger, garlic and chill pepper, I make it spicy and it eases my symptoms. Usually, I don't take any kind of medicines for common cold.

Most of the time, common cold symptoms passes away without any kind of medications or even home remedies. However, if it does not go easily I use home remedies. If I have some important things to attend, I try OTC drugs and try to recover faster.

As far as I know common cold does not need any medical attention. If you avoid food or situations that trigger your symptoms, common cold can go away in a couple of days. When I have common cold I use herbal remedies. Ginger honey tea is ny favorite antidote against common cold.

Common colds can have symptoms that tend to last a few weeks before you see them disappear. One thing I was always told when I had a common cold and the symptoms stayed around for a while was to make sure I stayed hydrated and got rest.

Yes of course, this happens with me every winter. Since it's a cold season of the year with all the snow, I catch cold once in a while and will always recover from it.

Eating a very hot soup! My mother always prepares a very hot chicken soup for me to eat whenever I catch cold. It cures it fast.
