How do you manage staff and keep the morale up?

Nice one from you dude. I also plan to start my own forum some day and I will actually try as much as possible to be friendly with them. It is always a very important for you to reward good performance because it motivates them.
been friendly with members of your staff is not a bad thing but always remember to draw the line in order to avoid future confrontation or over familiarity from members of your staff

drawing a boundary is always important and necessary so that disrespect will not set in. But being friendly with them is always very important and necessary.

I do not think that people should disrespect each other regardless of whether or not they are moderators. Human beings deserve to be respected even if they do not hold a high position at your organisation or website.

I normally do following things

  • Give some cash so they motivate to postings as nobody spend time for free.
  • Create Team only page to share some exclusive information
  • Talk regularly with team get feedback

That is actually very true. Everybody deserves respect irrespective of their position. It is also very important for people to obey rules and regulations in order not to be disrespected.

If you're a forum owner like me, how do you manage staff? How do you get them excited to post, be active, and help grow the forum? I have several people helping me out on AdminCoin and they have been GREAT so far! Blessed to have them. I'm curious about what you do to keep the morale up and going!
To be able to establish and ensure such action, every manager should apply any of the following methods:
1. Keep communication open. 2. Motivation 3. Give employees the tools to ask for feedback.

I think that when you respect each other, you tend to create a really friendly environment for the people who are working in your company. This make people comfortable.

people will always like to work in your business if there is friendliness and harmony in the business environment. That is one of the things needed to make workers motivated.

You can manage staffs and keep the morale up by keeping a good relationship with them and also giving them gifts or a bonus when they work really hard, in order to encourage them.

Working like a family and considering your co-workers as your ally is very important. This also means that there should not be any kind of bullying at workplace.

There are some specific things that I keep up in places like giving them work related policies and organising special event and dinner so as to increase team bonding and ultimately to boost morale.

Actually the management of staffs is very important and sensitive in all business simply because when the arr properly maintained, it motivate them and give them the moral to work with more confidence than ever.

The environment of a workplace could influence the decision of employees to work for your company. I have been to many places for an interview. When I saw the environment, I immediately left the place.

Was it the environmental set up of the place that made you to leave?. I think you should have made some research before you go to the place for an interview in order to avoid being disappointed.

One good way that I can motivate my staff is to keep ensuring they're well taken care of - paying them same salary range of their counterparts, adding bonuses and allowances from time to time.

Since I do not have full-time staff and a lot of staff, I do not have to deal with this. I like hiring temporary workers for task-based work, I also like hiring virtual assistants for different works, and I do not have to deal with keeping my staff morale high.

Unfortunately, many bosses may not understand this thing and they may insult and disrespect their employees in front of people. I have seen this many times. This is why I prefer to never work in those companies.

I think one of the best ways to do this is to set a standard for yourself. Every business has its rules and regulations, make sure you stick to it and the employee should be aware of this from the very start. Does who default should be punished according to the rules and regulations.

The management of staffs is not a duty that all people can do but a quality that someone posses. equal treatment of staff, respect for people opinions can gives them more confidence in you as the manager.

That is actually very true. some bosses can be very abusive and it is also one of the major reasons I try as much as possible to avoid working for people. Working online is much better.
