How do you find staff?

Its quite easy to find staffs. There are always unlimited work force available at every given time. It's in your place to select the ones you feel is most appropriate

You can go online and place adverts to announce vacancy in your company. You need to put the requirement you are looking in the vacancy advert. you will have a lot of people applying for the job. You can then schedule a screening date for the job interview. You can then select the best out of all the candidates.

Well staff hunting is actually very important when it comes to business because you have to try and carefully recruit trust worthy employees that are very diligent and hard-working

Do you hire people, or look for volunteers, to help you manage your website?

I've always had quite a hard time allowing people to have certain permissions so I almost always end up running all of my sites on my own.
When I had forums I really only had super moderators and moderators. I refused to get admins but decided I needed to focus my attention on other projects so I ended up hiring one and he spammed the site, changed logins, etc. It was a terrible experience that kept me from hiring staff unless absolutely necessary, and even then they don't get special permissions.

Anyone else have a bad experience hiring others to help manage your site?
I manage my business site on my own.
Some business owners have complained of employees who sold out concrete business information to outsiders.
I think we should be more careful when hiring to fill such post.

Before hiring staff ,you should actually check the kind of staff you are hiring because there are lot of scammers in the system that might want to scam you and you need to be more careful so they don't steak your site ,but I prefer to manage my self

I always feel I have a pretty good idea of how a site is being managed and that's why majority of my digital endeavors are managed myself. Since I don't have so much to handle at once, I can always control things.

Most employers over here do not conduct background checks on their potential employees before accepting them. This will to know those who are trustworthy.

You can can place an advert on social media like Facebook to announce the vacancy in your company. You can have a dedicated page for this vacancy on your website to tell the people some of the criteria you are looking after from every candidate.

I don't own a website but i don't think a website is a very difficult task that require someone else handling it. Besides it's difficult to find the right person to manage that site.

Finding good staff is not always easy.
People should be smart enough to run stuff autonomously and they should be kind enough to follow the rules. Anyway, it's not that easy, to find good staff who are loyal and who take their responsibilities seriously.

Most of the people I know, just disappear without saying much. Sometimes, they wouldn't even interact with other users...and the list goes on and on. Anyway, it's better to choose someone whom you trust implicitly.

Sorry about your experience , I've never had such experience before but based on your experience if opportunity arises that I have to hire someone I really need to be very careful ,possibly I Can hire someone I know will be able to do the job perfectly, Thanks for sharing.

Currently I am not running any site that requires hiring someone to help manage it.
Most business persons do not find it comfortable allowing outsiders have access to their websites, so they prefer managing the site themselves which is tasking. If I was in such shoes, I would hire someone to manage the site for me.

It's the same thing I would have done. Hiring someone will promote the quality of the content of the site since you're paying for it. This will help to promote your business excellently.

Well the best thing is just to hire someone you know because it might be very very risky when you try to hire someone you do not know , because most people you do not know are likely to be the one who might want to scam you or cheat on you.

I always try to have one moderator on my site because it makes my job slightly easier as I don't have to go around looking for content that breaks the rules etc. I try to get volunteers because I don't like to spend site resources on something that users usually are happy to volunteer for.

You need to do a thorough research before employing staff and one of the research is going through their curriculum vitae and screening the bad ones out through the interview.

Free” usually sounds too good to be true. But that’s not the case when it comes to job boards. Some of the most popular sites among job seekers, including Indeed and Glassdoor, let you advertise your jobs for free. All you have to do is write a job ad to describe the role and post it on one or more free job posting sites. Next thing you know, the first resumes will start showing up in your inbox.
I think some site that offer such services such as indeed are really doing a good one in sourcing for the right match to what an employer is looking for,the resume must have been programme to go directlly to the right job search,

When looking for a staff , its better to be careful nit to fall into people who prefer recommending people that cannot work ,its better to go through the direct source of posting advert.

Well I also but on discord. I had staff team on my server and it was smooth until I hired one guy. After one week I woke up with my server ruined. They added a bot that spam ping people and makes channels like called "Raided by (name)".

It is true that having a moderator in your website is going to be much much easier for you to be able to focus on other things because they are going to be helping you to do all that ask that are quite difficult for you to handle.
