How do you avoid distractions working from home?

One common thing with working at home is that you have to deal with a lot distractions and it gets worst when you're not living alone. A lot of things is going to get in your face to mess up your work focus.

I usually have an office at home where I confine myself whenever I'm working at home. It helps to keep all the distractions out till I'm done working.

I don't work from home but if I did I would probably set up my computer in a different area so I would have less distractions. Right now my computer is in my main living area, so there's lots of distractions in here. I have a cat who will beg and meow until he's got his dinner and sometimes he just wants attention, so he would be a distraction at times too.

I've never had an at-home, remote job. If I ever did, it would probably be web development-related. Thankfully for me, coding is always something I can bring great focus to without distractions. I can focus better on coding than I can on entertainment like TV, movies, and video games.

You better give him the attention he deserves 😂. You're lucky he's not climbing on your computer to stop you from ignoring him.

Dedicated working space. Start and finish at the same time everyday. Always take your full lunch break away from your desk at the same time each day. Listen to podcasts/music while you work. Enjoy your job. Xd

Whenever I work from home, I make sure that I'm finishing my work ASAP so that I can spend the rest of the day chilling 😅 that's what keeps me motivated, focused and away from distractions..

I work from home and this has been one of the many things that has led me to end up falling behind a lot of the time when I have tried to stay on track.

At the moment I do not have my own office as we do not have a spare room that I could use as an office and I would hate to make my office in the room I sleep in as I feel that doesn't help at all when it comes to shutting off for the night. At the moment I have my office within the living room so I do get distracted sometimes but it is getting better.

Planning in regular breaks. It's best to be fully focused on work when working as opposed to constantly checking your phone. I have to admit, I'm not fully perfect though.

The core concept requires you to have the mindset that you are working from home and not just doing stuff from home. Also, headphones are by far my best friend here.
