While HBO themselves haven't made any announcements about who will play Harry, Ron, Hermione, or any of the other characters in the upcoming Harry Potter series there have been plenty of rumors and suggested castings gaining traction.
The Harry Potter TV show cast is such a talking point that many have started speculating on the odds for key characters (via NME.com). The current favorite to replace Ralph Fiennes (The Menu) as antagonist Lord Voldemort has been an especially notable recasting, with many believing Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest) or Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange) are the likeliest to play the Harry Potter HBO Lord Voldemort. The same report puts Charles Dance (Game of Thrones) as a potential Albus Dumbledore in the HBO Harry Potter remake cast, with Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) as a probable Rubeus Hagrid.
