Have you ever lost progress in a game because of a corrupt save?

I game a lot, and I have had my share of issues. One issue I always hate is when a file for my saves gets corrupted and I can no longer load my game and continue. This happened to me years ago, when I played a demo disc on the PS2. For some reason the demo erased all the data on my memory card, so I had lost progress to GTA San Andreas, and a few other games. Has that ever happened to you? Or maybe your save files got corrupt or lost?

My bigesst nightmare when I was younger and yes but only once good news is that I wasn't a big fan of the game
