Have you ever had to fire someone for stealing from your work?

There are some people who are never contented with what they have and what they are being paid. No matter the amount of money they are being paid at their workplace, whenever they see an opportunity to steal from the workplace, they won't overlook it or report to the management.
Anyone that steals from their workplaces and get caught should be fired as a lesson for other employees. It is not a good practice to exhibit at the workplace where people are supposed to be organized..

Personally for me, depending on what the person stole from my business is going to determine if I am going to be contented with just firing the person or make efforts to see the person jailed. This is so that he or she is going to learn a very big lesson from stealing so that tomorrow if the person is hired in any other business establishments, they will not have any thoughts of stealing.

I didn't people stealing. It is better you ask for my help than stealing from me. Though it is a rule that stealing is a crime and defaulters need to be prosecuted by the law..

There are some people who are suffering from kleptomania. They just can't help it with their urge to steal even if they have been given everything they wanted. There was a lady who was caught and exposed in the market yesterday for stealing a maggi cube. The lady have already bought one packet of Star maggi but still ended up stealing a cube from the one's in display and put it in her pocket. If you have such kind of person as your staff, they will keep stealing no matter what you give them.

Has there ever been a time where you had to fire someone because they stole from you or your business? This sort of thing has never happened to me, but I do worry often about what could happen with my work and any employees I do hire. Thankfully I don't really ever have employees aside from people I hire for odd jobs.

What about you though? Ever had to fire someone for stealing?

If an employee is involved in stealing things, then I think that such kind of employee should not only be fired, in fact, such kind of employee should also go to jail as well. Theft costs much loss. Billions of dollars are lost due to crimes like theft and fraud.

Those set of people really need psychological help because that's the only way they can be able to stop that act of stealing unconditionally. They might find themselves in a situation where they might end up being beaten to death because they stole something.
 
I have not sacked anyone from job for stealing because I do not have such privileged but will definitely do so if I have the power. Criminal activities should not be tolerated at the workplace for any reason..

There are many people who tend to develop the habit of stealing things and they need counselling. Unfortunately, counselling cannot help them. They steal and scam people off their hard earned money. Just imagine a person working hard to pay his medical bills and a thief/scammer scammed such a person and stole his money!

It is a very big problem that we have to deal with on a daily basis and it's really sad when it is someone who is employed by a company to work for them and they are paying the person his or her salary whenever it is due that will end up stealing from the company in a way it is going to affect the company's profit making generally.

I think that an employer needs to make sure that he hires the right kind of person to begin with in order to avoid such kind of people in the first place. It is much better to remain safe than sorry under such kind of circumstances. Screening of employees is important.
 
It is always against the policy of every organization and they frown at stealing of any kind. So if anyone is caught stealing from the company or any staff. The penalty is simply dismissal...

When you don't take care and caution with how you handle your workers, they are definitely going to take serious advantage of you and your business. I know several businesses that's been put to death as a result of bad employees. Your employees are the one's who runs the business under your care, when you fail to manage them properly, they will screw your business.
