Has anyone else falsely claimed to own your domains?

I am trying to list my domains for sale on domain marketplaces, and I find that some of my domains are also listed for sale by someone else. Has anyone else faced the same problem with their domains?

When you want to list your domain for sale, you will have to provide your ownership. How did these people provide ownership of the domains that they don't own?

There are some websites which allow members to list domains if they are not listed by anyone else. So now I cannot add my domains to the marketplace without verification.

If that is the case, these sites might be fraudulent sites. How can anyone let you list domains for sale without verifying that you are the actual owner? What process do they have on their website if someone buys domains listed?

In some cases, investors list the domains and let them expire since they cannot pay renewal fees, so the listing remains, while in other cases cybercriminals are responsible for the listing.
