I have four forums and none of my forums are built on paid forum scripts. I am using free forum scripts like SMF, PhpBB, and MyBB. Based on my experience, there is no ned to go for premium forum scripts because free forum scripts are also very good. I even see a drawback of using paid scripts because it will increase your forum running costs.

Please can you explain to me what free forum scripts are? I don't understand it
SMF, PHPBB, and MyBB:
There are forum-based scripts.
MyBB and PHPBB are practically the same so the script is similar to a forum built with ForumOtion.
