If you have ever used free hosting, what has been your experience of it?

I cannot personally say because I have never had a site which has had any actual visitors on a free host...

I used to use a free host and it was a pile of dog you know what I would never go with free hosting because I am serious with my community and I want to create something decent that will not go downhill.

I'd rather just go with a reliable host which goes for like 2$ a month. If you can afford a TLD, you can afford hosting

I've used free hosting before. I don't use it for my own sites that I actually care about. But I have used it for "test runs". The ones I used were x10 hosting and 000webhost. X10 was the better of the two because it came with its own control panel.

Unfortunately, x10 still runs on Cpanel. I'm not sure if any upgrade is coming from them in regard to Vistapanel though. If I find someone that uses Vistapanel, I'll come back and tell you about it.

There are tons of websites which allow free unlimited hosting.I have used those on all of my websites, and they are actually really good .

I don't go to free hosts anymore. I find them useless and their servers are slow unless it's a free plan on a big host. I absolutely hate free forum hosts even more!

The only problem I see with free hosts, they always oversell their resources.
If they have a better plans like us, a free host might be a good option. but they are very hard to find! :|

So do you think vistapanel is better than cpanel?

Personally, I would say so. But it should be. Cpanel is old whereas Vistapanel is new in comparison and has feature to make file transfers easier. But Cpanel is still the standard norm.

I've tried it and you can have a go on my r8host.com if you want... I have to admit to preferring Cpanel though

There is no such things as free hosting. I've tried byehost for a while and it sucked big time. It's impossible to get a fully functional wordpress blog for example...
