Do you own a forum and also a blog? Based on your experience, which is easier to manage and run? I own a handful of forums and about a dozen blogs. Blogging is basically a one-man show, however, a forum needs members. The most difficult part of running a forum is bringing in members and encouraging them to remain active.

I can say much for a forum since I haven't owned one personally but from what I have gathered I Know it's a lot more easier in comparison managing a blog than for a forum.

Definitely easier, but less contact with your viewers or community.

I wouldn't want to blog and manage a forum at the same time. But I wouldn't want to write on a blog either. :)

I'm sorry to say that Blog is boring to me. The level of interaction in blogs can't be considered on the same level with what happens on forums. If you are better off writing only, blogs will be best to choose. I'm for forums always.

Managing a forum is a lot easier I find than managing a blog if I am honest. With a forum you can have staff and you can have members, and each can help to keep fresh posts coming in and keep the forum active. With a blog it's pretty much a one-person job and you have to have something to post on there to keep it active and to bring people in, unless of course you hire someone to write articles but that isn't always feasible for everyone.

Though I have not own a forum, but for a blog it has to do with your content and how well you keep your audience up to date with relevant information.
