Forum Vs Blog: Which is Easier to Manage?

I think a Blog would be easier to manage because with forums you're dealing with a lot of people who sometimes supply the wrong information so overall blogs are easier to manage.

I think forum is still the best to manage only you have the funds to reward every members active in it I guess, because forum never dry members comes in to post one or two things tho.
In order to run a forum you may not have to reward the members There are a lot of forums that do not pay for content creation, yet the forums have a lot of members.

With forums, you get to always keep up with responding to a lot of conversation from so many people all of the time unlike blogs where you may chose not have a forum running in it to keep responding to people
You must also understand that blogs are not as easy to run as you may put it because you must always be coming up with fresh updates to post on your blog to make it relevant all the time and this doesn't come easy

It is all depend on you as you have to decide what you wants. As in blog you need to create content while in forums members will help you to create your content. So choice is yours.

Forum is a community, where there are a lot of members, it cannot be managed by a single person. You need technical staff and moderaors to manage a forum

I would choose a blog site, because a blog is known for a particular niche or some niche and controlled by the blogger with no external interference but forum, where a lot of people are gathered and so much scrutiny to do.

When you have a blog, you will have a full ownership, but building traffic and content both are hard for a blog, interesting, building traffic and content both are easy for forums

Blog is easier to manage because you do not deal with large amount of people but in forums you will deal with a lot of people and sometimes when these people miss behave you really need to remind them about the guideline of the community.

If you have where to get users from and money to pay them, you might want a forum but if you have writing skills and no money then you should start a blog .

I think a blog is easier to manage the sense that there are few writers there but a forum, there are many my people trying to post different things so the owner will definitely look for ways in order to checkmate errors which may somehow be tedious.

I will be more inclined to pick managing a blog because I think that will carry lesser stress than when being tasked with taking Care of forums and the users in the forums.

A blog is much easier to manage, especially if you don't have any comments enabled on the blog either. Forums require other people to make it active and it needs moderating. Blogs are a much more laid back experience.

Forum is a community, a community needs members and moderators. In order to manage a forum you need to manage the members and the content created by these members.

My experience with forums was short lived but I already had enough experience to understand that managing a forum is not an easy task. Managing a forum is very different from managing a blog

Honestly for me I don't know the difference but through reading the comments here I was able to learn a thing or two. It's actually great being part of a website where you can learn information you knew nothing about before.

Depending on the blog but generally blogs are easier to manage since it is one user end application that is it is controlled by someone and it is just users viewing but forums have to manage a lot of people.

Blogs are definitely easier to manage. Except you have a lot of blogs like you stated, forums require constant monitoring plus to successfully manage one, you'll need a team of moderators or administrators like bizdustry has

I think forum is much more easier to manage. Why I said this is because of the fact that if you don't post anything on forum, members of the forum who engage with it can still make it move forward

Currently, I am running 15 websites. These websites are on different niches ranging from health, travel, astrology, food, gardening to beauty, homemaking, etc. Some of these websites are multi niches and some are single niches I sometimes hire writers to write for my websites and social media marketers to promote on social sites. However, I do most of the work.

I do not have a forum now, but I have tried my hands on forum. The first forum I created lasted for three months. I had to shut it down because I could get more than 10 members. My second forum lasted little longer, about one year, even though there were over 100 members, only a handful of them were active. Therefore, I shut this forum. I never created another.
Well life always determine what is good for for everyone... running 15 website isn't easy to begin with and u wanted to add forum again.... That's a lot of work to be done..

To me I think forum is more easier to manage than blog because in forum, you might just only be monitoring conversations going on by participants and control things there as admin. But not so with blog
