Forum Softwares

I understand that there are a lot of forum softwares out there..like MyBB or PhPbb from the top of my head if I think about them. There are probably more than them out there but so far unlike website tools where you can get WYSIWYG softwares..I have yet to find a forum script/software where you can design your forum completely, set up all the features just for testing purposes without having to host them on a local server or an ftp server. Do you guys know of any software, also what are the differences between each of the different types of forum softwares that are out there in terms of usability?

Not off the top of my head. Most forum softwares want to make it easy on you and give you a visual way of creating a forum, step by step. If you want to test your features, I'd disable the board first.

If you use existing software, you will have to build your site from the ready-made template, if you want to completely create your own unique website, you will have to build from scratch which involves writing your own codes.
