Fiction Vs. Non-Fiction

Between fiction and non-fiction, what do you like to read more? I like to read non-fiction more because I can build my knowledge. Therefore I like reading essays, travelogues, biographies, autobiographies, memoirs, etc. This does not mean I do not like fiction, I do like to read novels and short stories but given a choice, I will always choose a non-fiction book (well, it also depends on the content of the book or author of the book.)

I very rarely read non-fiction. Mostly romance fiction with a leaning toward YA (even though I'm not the core audience).

I read primarily fiction! I love books drawn to YA/fantasy vibes, some are no longer as YA - but if they are similar to that vibe I love them!

I primarily gravitate towards fictional novels like fantasy and sci fi books. I really enjoyed books like Lord of The Rings, The Catcher In The Rye, Battlefield Earth, and Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.

Fiction for me, seeing as fantasy is my favorite book genre and when I read I try and step back from the real world into my own little world, so fiction can help me do that.

I prefer non-fiction these days. Fiction is about exploring the inner regions of the self, at its best. But these days my inner world seems well established and my problems are outside of me, in the realm of non-fiction.

When it comes to reading non-fictions what are your ideal choices? I like reading religion, especially comparative study of religions, history, philosophy, cultural and social anthropology, and travelogues.

I can't remember the last time I read a non-fiction book. They are usually boring me to death. But if it's fiction books, they're always more creative in so many ways I can't imagine.
