Hey guys,

Im nearing the completion phase of my new portfolio site and I'd like to know what you guys think about it!

You can take a peak at it here: http://ed3n.me/beta

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Note: While it is mobile friendly, Im still tweaking the sizing so it may be a bit wonky.

You should totally add a favicon. Those make a huge difference.

Also, in the "Skillset" area, you used red checkmarks instead of green ones. Whenever I see something that's red, I generally assume "bad!", while when I see green I assume "good!". You might want to change the checkmark color from red to green.

Oh! I forgot to add it when I moved files to the VPS. I'll update that soon.

While that makes sense, Im trying to stick to 5 or so colors. I feel like adding green will be too much. Im kind of iffy with the whole "skillset" thing anyway, I may change it out with something else instead.

Hi Colin! Might consider adding your photo to About me section and correcting DATE COMPLETED for Spiral Out Games project :)

1. Personally, I suggest naming the telecommunications company you work for. Employers can quickly associate the quality of the work you do if you affiliated with a known company/brand.

2. I also recommend you remove your own portfolio from the portfolio showcase. It kind of loops back into the site, and takes up space. Instead, try to place a footnote on your site describing how you built it.

3. Remove 'aspiring' from aspiring Web Developer. Putting myself in an employer's shoes, I would not want to give a role to someone who aspires to fit the role. Just continue to increase your development skills, and sell them with confidence.

Valid point. Although my job isnt directed tied to my work, we still have a superb technical support department. ;)

Yeah this is also a filler entry until I can build up the portfolio enough. I'll remove the filler entries.

Mmmyeah that makes sense. Doesnt speak much for confidence, does it?

Thanks for the great feedback! I'll work on these right away. :)

The only thing I can thing of is changing your footer color. I think this suits the header much better:

I made some changes to the site with most of the suggested changes. Let me know what you think!

Hey dude. I'm sure you already know this but if not make sure you fill in the blank space believe the about me. A little blank space is good but a lot of blank space is a definitely no no.

Other than, I love it!

Hello,

I would like to inform you that in the sitemap links the portfolio URL is not working.

:relaxed:
