In today's digital world, social media often comes with an unintended consequence: the pervasive fear of missing out, or FOMO. It's easy for us to fall into the trap of comparing our lives to the seemingly exciting and picture-perfect moments of life shared by others. This preoccupation with others' experiences can make us feel inadequate and insecure, reminding us of the delicate balance between staying connected and preserving our mental well-being in the virtual realm. Let us discuss how social media can sometimes lead to feelings of FOMO (fear of missing out) and unhealthy comparisons with others and how we can avoid it?

There are a lot of things you can do in order to avoid FOMO. You need to set your priorities, you need to understand how much resources you have and how much you can afford. You need to try to live your own life, you should also avoid trying to impress people. One of the major reasons for people having FOMO is because they want to copy someone's lifestyle they cannot afford and they want to impress people with their lives. If you want to impress people, try to impress them with your knowledge and intelligence.

It's only in cryptocurrency investment I've been a victim of FOMO (fear of missing out) as it made me impatient to buy a coin I shouldn't have. I had a loss in the investment but that's it on what I've been through with FOMO (fear of missing out) pressure. Any other thing happening on social media have never affected me because I know people live fake lives online.

I do not experience the fear of missing out. However, I think I find myself living up to those standards that are superficial. No one shows you the scene backstage and you begin to think that life is perfect for others and you deserve the same. I take a moment to remind myself that my pace and peace are all that matters.
