My favorite phpBB plugin was mchat. I remember it being a pretty cool chat script that could be modified and transformed from a chat box into a full chat room, that could compete with IPB's chat app.

That sounds very cool! I agree that IPB's chat app is pretty cool. Can you find the plugin you were talking about and link it here? I can't find it for some reason.

I used it on one of my previous forums, a few years ago, and it seemed like a really well-developed chat plugin, with a nice look.
