Fake Members

What are your thoughts about fake members of a forum?

Do you think fake members can help a starting forum grow?

Or do you find it cheating and wrong to do?

Have you ever used fake members on a forum before?

A lot of people try that. I don't see anything wrong with it as long as you are not scamming anyone.

But my advice is that you will never be serious about getting new members that way.

But in a way you are scamming people.
I mean no one can form a friendship with a fake member.
But I guess the same could be said about post-exchanges right?
