Business ideas and secret should not be be disclosed to people that you don't know, it's a sensitive documents that if released can crumble your business. An employee remains an employee no matter your status or relationship with the business owner.

No matter how close you and your employee might be , some matters and issue still remains private , i have seen an employee the company weakness to torment them and turn it to his own advantage only because he was favoured by the boss.

This depends on your conviction to show them or not but advisably it's something you will keep secret because some can even used it to destroyed you.

You have made a good point. However, it might be difficult to keep your trade secrets away from a your employees because few of the important and senior ones might be privy to such information already along the course of working for you.

The trade secret is one of the strongest tool an employer may have to be at the top of a business competition. You might or might not reveal most of them to your employees except is some cases.

What about cases of restaurant? where maybe they have secret recipes for their dishes, most managers would not want to share it with their employees to prevent them from breaking out with time and starting up their own restaurant.

I have come to learn over time that the rich get richer because they have trained minds to acquire basic knowledge to acquire wealth which the not rich don't know which is why business trade secrets remain secrets

Everyone can bake hamburger just like McDonalds but not everyone can sell like McDonalds. A secret recipe we still get exposed one day no matter how the person may hide it. One of the employer will get access to it. It was even told that it is one of the Coca-Cola employee that startup Pepsi. Has Coca-Cola gone out of business since the establishment of Pepsi? Your answer is as good as mine, both of them are still waxing stronger.

Yes, there should be confidentiality amongst the staff of a business even after they are no longer under your employ. You wouldn't want staff to spill your secrets to rival companies.

You have a point there but you would agree with me that even if Pepsi and coca cola are doing fine, Pepsi can never taste like coca cola, biggie cola even came up but it still does not taste like Pepsi or even coca cola, like you said about not everyone can sell like macdonald, which means they have their own trading secrets that probably only a selected few amongst the marketing team might know about and they would have probably signed an agreement. I beg to be disagree with the last statement in your comment in which the marketing team needs to sign agreement with the company.

If you know the story of Coca-Cola and Pepsi very well. In order to hijack the market profit, pepsi high one of the best managers at Coca-Cola with a fat salary. Even with that couple with some other things, everybody knows that Coca-Cola is still the market leader when it comes to soft drinks.

Well, for a fact many employers or business owners wouldn't want to share valuable secrets about their business or ventures to their employees but this secrets could be known by some top executives in the management so in times when the owner is away there is continuabiliity of the business activities.
