If you are going to run a drupal blog this is a list of tips that you might consider before process to that action:
1 - Image display: Drupal disables for security metrics display of images or videos from external resource so you need to upload images from the server to drupal database to be displayed, there is a trick for disable this security metrics by some editing in drupal but this is not recommanded way
2 - Install recaptcha for registration and disable guest post: I have lost of Drupal blog due to massive number of registration in short time frame then it is possible that you install recaptcha and include it in PHP file
3 - Drupal system is like Wordpress for roles so if you are willing to add some contributors and allow them to contribute on the Drupal blog add them as editors and not administrators for having full control in adminstration panel and they are just doing their role.
