Does YouTube go after small time channels?

It's a life hack that the society prefers people who have more to offer or provide more for them in this case YouTube won't go after bigger channels because they make more money for them.

YouTube likes to ban small time YouTube channels and seem to never go after the bigger ones. This is something that's happened quite a bit over the years. They will give you strikes much easier and ban you but a big time YouTube channel might not receive the same. I know several people who had between 1,000-5,000 subscribers and have been banned before just because they make comments a lot on other channels. It's quite a shame. These people I know start their channel over and have been doing fine since.
This is a very good point raised. Going after bigger channels would mean a heavy loss for YouTube itself and that is why they will refrain from acting against them. YouTube never bothers for small channels in the same way. Business requirements will generally override the ethical duties.

You can only think of YouTube Monetization if you have a large number of YouTube followers ; atleast 5000 followers and you content must be quality
No matter the kind of business you want to do you can be able to open a YouTube channel whether a small or a big business it doesn't matter if your business is small or not.

That is true. I was offended when YouTube imposed the minimum 1,000 subscribers for monetization. I felt like a small time channel is not welcome anymore. Now my channel is stagnating.

Why don't you try URL shortening all you have to do is paste videos from YouTube and put on a shrink site, the more clicks you get the more money

Most of the new youtubers are in such a hurry to make money on the platform that they begin to use illegal methods to build subscribers and views. They buy subscribers and views, use bots to manipulate views. When YouTube finds out, these channels will be banned. You tube can ban even big channels. That has happened multiple times.

When you create your channel you start from the scratch to build your channel subscribers higher and increase your viewing minutes.

Buying subscribers and views for the Youtube videos is not a good idea because it is more likely the bots who would do that for you. The effect of the bots will last for only a week which means the numbers of the susbsribers of your channel and the number of views will be back to the original figures.

YouTube is large enough not to truly care at about the more modest fish since they realize they will continue to come into the biological system notwithstanding the way things are. That is my think about at any rate, I'd actually prefer to see these more modest channels spring up more and thrive, that what it's for in my eyes!

I don't want to believe that YouTube would just find it fancy for them to be banning smaller YouTube channels arbitrarily just like that. Infringements has been made and the hammer was used expeditiously

We should all know that everything great start from a little beginning, so youtube banning small time YouTube channel is not encouraging, if they keep doing that how would they grow and people cannot earn from youtube

It is not that they don't want to ban the big YouTube channels but if you look at the big ones they don't make comments like the small ones. They have already made a big subscribers. But the small one are looking for more so they keep on posting to attract subscribers

Not necessarily ban but they do not CARE about small time channels which makes small channels easily abused by bigger channels
I don't think that you told us anything to smaller channels simply because they do not do anything to the platform but instead you two would always be looking for ways to expand the smaller channels into bigger channels so that they will be bringing in income to YouTube and the owner of the channels.

The thread is not clear enough but I have not experienced such before. I have a channel with very small subscribers and I have not been banned . It's the first time I hear that YouTube banned channels. This may be caused by the large turnout of people who wants to make money on YouTube.

The smaller YouTube channels is not generating enough traffic na, but the bigger ones attract traffic and viewers so what do you expect....

For anyone to earn from YouTube monetization, the user must reach the average or minimum watch hours and subscription requirements.

Maybe they discover some unclean dealing with the YouTube channel, I know a friend who has a YouTube channel and it's not a big one so if any channel does not keep to the rules and regulations it will be banned.

Most times smaller channels may not be able to meet up to the requirement that is needed for them to monetize, they are also the channel that might disobey the rules of YouTube by posting copyright content.

You're right. Some of those channel owners simply create water mark contents via YouTube and seeking to get monetized. It doesn't work that way, YouTube need original contents and not a plagiarized one.

And if a smaller channel is not creating something reasonable , YouTube will not be able to place advertisement on the content and this will make them useless to YouTube communities
