One of the most used features on certain forum software such as Xenforo allows forum owners to turn tags on either for just staff members or for all of the community. In some forums I tend to see this active and in others I don't and it got me wondering, do the tags on forums help towards SEO?

Have you had any tags using the tagging system on a forum?

It helps users discover pages that are similar to each other and it can help boast SEO somewhat, but I wouldn’t use tags that much.

If you’re concerned about navigation and things like that, then tags are the way to go. Similar threads would boast seo a lot more than tags would as interlinking pages helps.

This is apart of Technical SEO.
