Saving Earth is not quite possible because people are not willing to cooperate. Majority of the people on Earth do not really care about this planet.

Personally I think we must try to colonize Mars, because we are running out of resources. Our population is increasing and very soon we may face problems.

Do you think people will care on Mars? Saving earth IS possible.

We are not running out of resources. Mars has no resources for us!! Earth has plenty of water, I can walk 100ft and be in a creek. On mars we will have to dig for the water, heat it up, then drink or whatever.

Living on Mars is not plausible.

Mars has a very thin atmosphere that can not support human life like Earth does.

We can not turn Mars into an earthlike planet. We would be damaging Mars then.

Our sea level is rising slowly, but it does not really matter IMO. It will be thousands of years before an actual impact is made.

They are planning to send people on Mars on a regular basis, in about 10-20 years.

In my opinion, you can not turn regular people into astronauts. They must have a college degree, and work for NASA to be an Astronaut IMO.

Their requirements are to be over 18. Pretty vague.

I don't think many people would be interested in going somewhere, where it will take them 30 years to actually land there. I rather stay here on earth and live my life.

I think the ones who may take a chance are who are already ill / are sick. Such as old people or even people with cancer. I wouldn't ever go to Mars even if I was sick or old. Maybe, if our technology advances we could go to Mars in a shorter amount of time.

You are quite correct. Many people just want to live their dreams, which is why they do not mind going to Mars.
