Do you think fish ever get thirsty???

Advertisement Placeholder
I don't think fish are ever thirsty haha, but maybe they want to change the water for something else, it has to be boring to always be drinking water 😱

This is a very good question and I would be lying if I said that I did not wonder about this at least a few times :ROFLMAO:. You would think they wouldn't being that they live in water and if they do need it, I guess they have it anyway.

They definitely get thirsty especially when they are in a water that has low quality. Such bad water can make them not have access to oxygen passage in the water, and that will affect their breathing rate.

I believe that it is not only water they get to drink because they also get to eat some maggots, earthworms and some of the things that they eat inside the water as well. So, it's more like that using the water to help and digest what they are eating.

That's very well thought out, I guess water helps them swallow and digest as you say, I hadn't thought of it that way.

Yeah, that's very correct. It's just a common logic. Anyone or anything that eats will definitely need water to wash it down. Even though fishes are in water, the same thing is applicable to them.

This question seems very funny but I think it's really trickery.
Fishes shouldn't ever get thirsty because they are always in water except if they get out of water.

I'm thinking how it's possible for a fish to get thirsty but it's hard. What I can think of is maybe a baby fish is angry after the mother scolded it. The baby fish will go on a thirsty strike 😅. What do you think about that?

You're a clown 😂.. This is very hilarious. Have you ever considered being into comedy? With the your level of humor, I'm very sure that you're going to do well in that industry or sector. A baby fish throwing a tantrum 😂.. This is crazy 😂.

This is not the first time I've had this remark. You are not the first person to say that to me. It's now making me strongly start considering it. I'll explore the options available for me to move into the comedy show industry.

I think fish does not not feel thirsty. They are already living inside so they absorb it through their gills.

Yeah, that's very correct. There is no way it is going to be possible for a fish that is inside water to thirsty because it is the same water that they are drinking as well. So, it wouldn't be understandable for them to starve themselves of water when they are already inside of it.

They never truly get thirsty since their body is taking the water cleaning them as needed and feeds it's self the fish will always get the water it needs as long as it's in the right sea and area for its living.
Fish are interesting to be honest but unfortunately they don't live very long so having them as pets can be a bit sad.

It is very unfortunate that they don't get to live long especially the ones that you can keep in your aquarium at home as your pet. The ones that can actually live long can't be kept as pet because they will kill you and eat you up.
