Life can hit anyone of us very hard at any particular point in time that's likely going to leave one in a situation of feeling helpless.

If one of your forum members open up to you about a serious life challenges that he or she is passing through, will you be kind enough to make provision to ask for public support on your platform for the member?

There's a catch for me to be interested in listening to this from any member and it's the member being very active and have stayed a long while in my forum. What I would be open and willing to do for such a member is support him with how much I can afford and tell some prominent members I know who are capable of assisting. It won't make it a public knowledge.

Why wouldn't you be interested in making it a public knowledge? I think there will definitely be more forum members whom you wouldn't know that might be willing to give their own support.

For me, as long as the reason why the member sought for my help isn't what will degrade him or her, I will make it a public announcement with their permission.

Well I do what I can because at times I can overdo leaving me in a situation where I would be a little bit stranded, so when I have and I know that if I should give this particular thing I have even if I would feel it it will not hurt me.

The reason why I wouldn't be interested in this kind of development a public knowledge is because I wouldn't be willing to make my forum look like a begging platform. The things we do on our forum leaves impression on people. It's why I'm being careful.

It's always a good gesture to help people out whenever you're in a good position to help them. It's something that I do all the time and if I don't my conscience will never let me rest.

I can understand this your reason too because there are some people who would interpret the whole thing in a bad way and say it's all a scheme to spin money from forum owners.

Plus some people tend to have this kind of mentality that I am smart enough to get this thing even if the person that helped him or her did it out of pity or conscience.

I think it's awesome when a community rallies around one of their own members. I've seen people help donate gifts, support, food, and all kinds of things to help co-workers or people from your local community. If you can, donate to food pantries, salvation armies, etc that can help support your local community.

Whenever there is a sense of togetherness in a community, this is usually what happens whenever a member is in a serious need for serious support from the members of the community. I don't have any problem in helping out in this kind of situation as long as it is a genuine reason for the member to be supported.

I have not done this on my site, but I have seen this on multiple forums and I have even helped some members. I did not directly help with money but I hired this person to work for me so that he can have some income. I think it is better to hire people to work instead of just donating money.

There's a forum owner whom I know that behaves the same way. His life principle is that you have to earn everything that's to be given to you. So, instead of just dashing or donating money to anyone in need, he will contract you to do a job and get paid for it.

I do my best to help others, but sometimes I can be a bit excessive, which leaves me in situations where I feel a little overwhelmed. However, when I have something to give, I make sure that even if it may be challenging, I offer it without causing harm to myself.

Whenever I can help out in such situations for a member in a community where I'm active on, I will not hold back. There's a guy on Twitter who does the same for those who follow him. He's the biggest philanthropist I've seen online.

Yeah, we've done this before when someone was going through a rough time while it was Christmas. We were able to donate over 100USD at that time from the efforts of the community.

This could be a great thing. If someone needs financial help, then they should be helped considering the fact that they actually do need help. There are many websites like GoFundMe. However, not all the people could use these platforms. So, having a fundraiser on your personal site could be a great idea.

This is something nice and believe me, the member who got such financial support from the community during his or her hard time will never take the community for granted. It's going to tie down the users loyalty to the community indefinitely.
