I read somewhere that cold water soothes your muscles after a hard weight training session. But this comes with the caveat that you’ll gain less muscle than you would without the cold shower.Only after a big gym session or run. I find it cools me down and helps to stop the sweating.
When our water heater was getting swapped out for a new one, I had to draw an ice cold bath and then heat water up repeatedly on the stove to warm it up. That wasn't fun. I almost spilled it on myself on my way to the bedroom bathroom. And then when I was done, the water was still chilly but it was tolerable enough for me to get in there and get washed up.I prefer scalding hot to where my skin is red from the heat. Not quite a burn, but quite close lol. I tried colder showers to help my hair, but I just did not enjoy it!
How was it chilly? Why didn’t you just boil water in a kettle and mix that with cold water to get the right temperature? When our water heater was getting swapped out for a new one, I had to draw an ice cold bath and then heat water up repeatedly on the stove to warm it up. I was heating up 4 pots of water, and they were boiling hot. I think the water was so cold that it was just cooling it off as soon as I was dumping it in.How was it chilly? Why didn’t you just boil water in a kettle and mix that with cold water to get the right temperature?
Maybe try it the other way round? Pour cold water into hot water? I’ve done this when the shower wasn’t working and didn’t have issues.I was heating up 4 pots of water, and they were boiling hot. I think the water was so cold that it was just cooling it off as soon as I was dumping it in.
