Do You Edit Users Posts?

Not sure I'd find it acceptable to edit other people's posts, and I'd be quite annoyed to find one of my own modified. If there is a problem with what someone had written, I'd just remove the post and perhaps ask the user to resubmit after editing or the problematic parts. Least that allows them they're own autonomy.

Not unless it violates one of our rules. Since we run a PG community, we do have some filters in place but people will be fancy and get around it.

Otherwise, only if malicious links or adult site links are posted.

Yes. Two main reasons where it could happen:
  • User messed up the quote and replied within the quote or similar
  • Thread had a ridiculous and confusing title so I tweak the title to something better related to what's in the thread to help users find it and for SEO

Yea, I may, on occasion (rarely) do that. Especially if a topic is like 1-2 words for the title. I have a super nice XF addon to help find them easily without having to look everywhere. It's called "TItle Threads Manager" and its free for all on XF.
