If you run a business, it's a good idea to have social media accounts around it. But what do you do with the messages you received on these social accounts? Do you respond to them? Ignore them? Or outright delete them before looking? Personally I do check all my emails and will respond to people who have valid questions, concerns, or comments. What about you?

If you have a business account on social media, the reason why you have it is to reach your potential customers. You're supposed to read and reply your messages when your customers are making inquiries or they will take their business to another competitor.

How can you have a social Media account for your business and not respond to messages your customers are going to be sending to your social media account. It doesn't make any sense, because if you don't want their engagement, you shouldn't have created a social media account for your business.
Those social media accounts are created to get customers from online, it's why any messages sent from a customer must be attended to. If you don't have time as the business owner to do it, you better hire a social media manager to handle all your social media accounts.

I always try to answer messages on social media when ever I receive business querries. The primary motive for using social media is to generate sales and traffic, so when I receive messages, I try to answer promptly. I always look for better opportunities.

If I have a business account and customers and clients are supposed to send messages to it. It is appropriate that you read and respond to their pressing questions. If you can not handle it, you could employ someone help you do that..

As a customer, I don't like it when my messages to any business I want to patronize delays too long to respond to my inquiries. I can be patient for 2 hours during business hours, if they fail to respond, I will leave to other business.

The prompt messages and notifications I get on my social media accounts brings me on to reply my followers immediately. My business account makes money for me and that's why I post updates frequently and respond to them whenever they reach out.
