My own advice here is that he should look for where he had more strength in both music production and disc jockey. If he can handle both and know much about the two simultaneously then he should just choose one and go with it since both are even profitable

I think he can focus in both professions, he could probably be a dj at weekends, play at parties and events and also market his music production on his own social media platforms. Brand himself, upload his world and just keep growing from there.

I think he should find a way to use both to the best of his capability. You can be a disk jockey and a music producer as well. I have seen such with most music producers I have connected with.

In order to make money as a disk jockey, there need to be clubs in your city and these clubs need to have a lot of regular customers (so that the clubs can pay you high salary). I think music production can be more profitable because you can easily sell online.
