A lot. Messengers where fun was those days. And Yahoo! used to rule the scene.

I think they shutdown some 5 years back. Kept it alive to the best of their ability.

Yeah I had Y!M and I used it quite frequently (nowhere near as much as MSN) - I'm sure that most of my online friends from the US used Yahoo! or AIM rather than MSN, so I used to have 3 different instant messengers open at once.

I used to always use this emoticon too...

Yeah, me neither sadly. As I got older and stopped using these things, I drifted away naturally from a lot of people.
I would love to know what some of them are up to nowadays.

It will be close to impossible to find them. People used to hide their real names those days. I am not sure whether they live an online life anymore. Moved on, I guess.

Most of us have lost contact with almost all of them. I had a few of linked up in yahoo mail but over the last few years, I haven't received any mail from them.

I mostly use it for netgames since I'm an ex-netgame champ myself. True story.

Okay. This is slightly embarassing to share. My yahoo messenger name was: Middleschooldropoutsike ....yes I made it in middle school. xD I tried it out, I remember using Yahoo messenger to talk to people when I was working on one of my first few forums!

I use it to play some netgames on like Sale of the Century, Press Your Luck, etc. I was a champion on a number of them.

My spouse and I used to talk on Yahoo messenger whenever they couldn't come over to my house when we were first dating. xD I didn't have a cellphone back then, and it was the quickest way we could talk to each other.

Yes, I have back in the day but was not as active, though I join when it was its ended time. Not many people at the time I used it really did use it.
