Did you ever sell your site?

Recently I have been learning on how to buy websites from cheap websites only to sell them when they are matured. Though I have not started this business but I will soon.

I have once sold my site for about 50 usd ,the site had AdSense account in it ,which made it more easier for me to del it off, i have also sell one of my domain hosting business site
I would be interested to know if the buyer made the site to be better than you did? Did he have better ideas of running the site than you?

Yes, i did sell a forum on Flippa. And until now, i regret having made the decision. The forum had great potential that i had not tapped into. The new owner simply improved the look and the site was getting thousands of organic traffic in less than a year. Anyway, i made a decent amount at the time. I sold the forum at USD 500 only. It was just lying there, but it had some active members. What the guy did was just add some promotions and more forum categories, and now it is among the leading forums in his country. He also made it local, so that one really helped him garner local traffic using Local SEO tactics.
That is why I won't ever sell my site for whatever reason, imagine what the person that sold WhatsApp to mark would be feeling now, selling if a website is like selling off a potential.

I never sold a website before, i am not a website developer. Those who develop website and build it's traffic high are making reasonable amount of money from it.

I really didn't sell my website just because of the fact that I was unable to grow the Website and make money from it and nobody will want to buy that kind of website from me

I have never said any of my website before. But I am planning to do so once I have a couple of blog website with me. selling of website makes it pretty much easier to raise quick capital for another venture.

Write your reply... did ever sell your site wow l never decided to sell my because my site is very important.

Few weeks ago I sold a starter website, and I have yet again received bid on my another site. This site is one years old site with no traffic and revenue and The buyer has offered $300.

The site that I worked on was not only my input and it was supposed to be a group project so it can't be sold but I have some domains I may flip

Though I don't have any website at the moment, but I think there are some reasons that could warrant one to sell off his or her website. For instance if one can not continue with such site anymore. Or one wants to create another kind of site and doesn't want to keep two, so one has to go. Another reason could be in a case of financial issue and selling off the said site is the only solution. That is my take.

I don't have a site but I don't think I would sell it when I have one except it isn't yielding the result I want

Yes, you could do domain flipping. Also, sites that has potential earning capacity are always sort for by bloggers.

I Have never engage in selling any site, because the site seems not well developed,I am still working on it to make it good so that I can get someone that will buy with good amount of money.

Though i am still a learner trying to start from somewhere with starting my own websites , so i have never been able to sell my site to anybody , people uses it for business whereby they build a website from scratch and sell in high money.

You shouldn't regret for making sure decision. You should be grateful and look at the bright side. Like you said the site was just lying there before you sold it.
The important thing now is the lesson learnt and the experience gathered. You can always open a sites but this time you really know what you want and ways to achieve it with it.

Some times your website contains sensitive informations so sell it as you have selling your informations except you remove that part and store it away, like for example some personal section for written articles on writing platforms not visible to users, so you have to store this part away then sell the website not sell the website + your work.

Selling a site is a very hard thing to do because you are already attached to the site and its not easy to let the site go, most time situation always warrants you to sell your website.

To prepare a website from scratch seems a boring task, most of the website resellers are just developing a website on your needs then sell it you may develop depend on client requirements as chart task but having a website old for 2 or 3 years which gains popularity money will not recover the efforts you have made for months of working except you have planned to launch a new website sooner.

I haven't sold or bought any site yet. Though I once took a course in domain flipping but I just shoved the information aside due to a previous engagement but now, my interest has been rekindled and I'm learning again.

It can be a good or a bad experience for each one of us but time spent on a website worth money means the seller finds everything ready not like the buyer.
