How so you guys handlenDDoS attacks? When. Was the last time you had one?

I use cloudflare premium so if they DDoS me they just end up booting theirselves.

You probably use the free version, it protects against a small DDoS attack up to like 1TB I think.

Premium is unlimited.

I had premium, it simply slowed down my site way to much.

Well, would you rather have slow and secure or fast and bootable?

Cloudflare basically hosts your site on its DNS which means all of your traffic goes straight to Coudflare before it goes to your site to detect if it's a data packet or a normal pc.

You wouldn't have a site if it was slow all the time, so.

I have thankfully never been attacked *touch wood*. One of the worst types of attacks except from hacking for small site owners

DDoS Attacks weren't a problem for me. Last time I owned a forum my host was a free forum host. They handled any attacks that my forum may of suffered.

The hosting of one company I used was brought down for a month. However, though, it was the company's fault - as they cannot expect users to exercise DDOS protection privately, like say, someone might ask people to recycle. :smirk: However, though, besides their one big misfortune, they were a good company and I haven't seen the DDOS come back.

Oh, by the way, not sure really if it was individual users bringing on the DDOS or the main company. What is usually the case? For instance, let's say you had 100 WordPress users with weak passwords.
